41 Portland Place

41 Portland Place, London, Greater London, W1B 1QH, United Kingdom

Designed by James Adam in 1773, 41 Portland Place was a private home until 1939. After surviving the London Blitz, the building became the home to the Ciba/Novartis Foundation and hosted prestigious scientific events attended by some of the greatest medical scientists of the last century.

In 2010 after a £5M refurbishment, the building started a new chapter in history as the home of the Academy of Medical Sciences and profits generated by venue hire are used to fund activities run by the Academy to ensure research improves health.

Hospitality at 41 Portland place is in the capable hands of Searcys, they are an award winning events caterer that delivers the best of British, but with a twist. It's our first class service that sets us apart from other venues. The onsite hospitality team will provide assistance on all aspects of your event. All meeting rooms contain either permanent or mobile AV equipment and most is included free of charge. Free wifi is available.
